--So I really should be getting ready for the day but... I don't want to. I have SO much to get done today and I don't want to do any of it. Go to class, Psychology homework, laundry, make dinner, study... I could go on. All I want to do is stare at the mountains, I mean seriously... They're gorgeous! I haven't had any time whatsoever to take pictures but I'm going to today. In the mean time enjoy this picture from when my days were a lot simpler, preschool.

Yes, this past Saturday was my Birthday... the 15th;
--So I had been waiting for this weekend for... well all week long I guess. I mean my week had been sub-par, my back has been hurting, and I kind of did less than desirable on my Psych test. I needed a weekend, and it needed to be great.
My weekend was perfect.
Friday I got done with work early so Jordan and I decided that it would be brilliant to watch Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Turns out that it is just as frightening as I remembered. I'm still having nightmares, I don't know about Jordan.
Saturday was my Birthday. And I let pretty much everyone I came in contact with know that fact. My day started off early, like 7:30 early, and off to the Flea market I went with Kristin and my Mother. It was at this great place in South Salt Lake called Abode. I spent more than I should have but I got a really great National Geographic from 1943, some serious Doris Day hats, and a really great print for a picture frame that needed exactly that. I also had to stop at the house that I spent the very first year of my life and take a picture, for sentimental reasons. On our way home we stopped and ate at my all-time favorite restaurant Settebello, and since it was my Birthday, I got free San Pellegrino.
Around 3:00 some of my friends had me over and we enjoyed some cake, which was great because my mom told me that she wasn't going to make me one this year. After that little get-together, Jordan and I went to a used book store and got some pretty great books before we left to our concert where we got to see Drew Danburry. I stood 4 feet from him while he played. He is one of the coolest people that I have ever come in contact with. Since we chatted with him after, he gave us CD's... for free. Not just because it was my birthday, but because he's that cool. Yes the venue was... sketchy, but the music was delightful.
It's always tough when amazing weekends come to a close, and Mondays come back around. Good thing I took pictures.

I haven't really taken pictures lately;
--No I really haven't taken pictures lately. What have I done lately? Spent money, probably way too much money. What did I buy? Mmm... shoes, music, gas, and of course food. The food I have eaten lately explains a lot about why I feel the way I feel. Earlier this week I ate sushi and that was fantastic, so I felt fantastic. Granola bars, so I felt like... a granola bar I guess. But for dinner tonight I ate these stupid chips that Clarky insisted that I eat along with my pleasant glass of Chocolate milk. So instead of feeling pleasant, I feel like a gas station floor. The part by the greasy hot-dog rollers. Thanks Clark.

Free Cups;
--Well I don't know what anyone else did on Labor Day, but I crossed an item off my bucket list. Okay, so my bucket list doesn't have the most extreme of things, but it has the little things that I believe are a right of passage to living a successful life and becoming a worthwhile human being. Some of the things on my list are: grow sunflowers, purchase something from an infomercial, while wearing red lip-stick kiss someone, attend a poetry reading where snapping is involved, ride a Ferris Wheel, be able to drop down and do 20 push-ups, kiss the Blarney Stone, and (the item that I just completed) spell out "Free Cups" on an overpass with cups.
Mmm hmmm so that happened with the help of my friend Jordan. He had previously placed the cups up there to welcome his friend home, but we decided they should be re-arranged. The cups went from saying "Home Ken!" to "Free Cups!!". I like to think that we're pretty clever.

Idaho;
--Yes I did go to Idaho this past weekend and yes I did take too many pictures. How could I not take pictures when my cousin's adorable 5 year old was present, even though he had so much energy that I'm amazed I even got pictures of him. He was always moving. Not to mention, how many pictures I take of my younger brother on a daily basis.
When I have children, I'm probably going to be one of those really annoying moms who is taking pictures of their kids 24/7. But I'll love every second of it.
So we stayed at my cabin and ventured to the Eastern Idaho State fair like we once did when we lived in Idaho. I have so many great childhood memories of going to the fair. We went every year for 4 years, and at this point in my life I hadn't been to the fair in maybe 3 years, so I was really looking forward to it. We ate a massive turkey leg, found out that my birthday is National Spud Day, saw a giant pig, and got rained on.
After all of the fun, I had to go back to studying, and probably should be right now.
